Mine isn't cheap, reliable or fast despite living in the world's number 1 financial centre.

I revoke your right to ever complain about internet speeds again.

It's because the only internet that can come to my house is fiber for some reason.

My area is literally the last place in the UK to get Fiber optic. It can't come soon enough.

Literally? Do you live next door to my parents? ;)
I actually don't know what speed I have. I haven't done a proper test in ages, because it's fast enough to max out the wifi long before it maxes out the net connection. I'd have to get out a network cable to find out for sure, but I think it's 50 megabits/s, and whatever it is I'd get at least 99% of the listed speed because it's Virgin. Fucking awful customer service, but nice fast fibre.

The worse thing is that the only thing preventing me from getting Virgin is the river Thames which really hurts especially when BT quote Q4 2015 for BT infinity.

I feel your pain. I've had some pretty bad ones in the weirdest places. McDonalds has amazingly awful wifi at times despite the assumption that a major corporation would have decent service.
I was on a road trip and I had reached the end of the audio book I was listening to. And wanted to download another one. Stopped at the Mac for lunch and started downloading another one. My work and home internet is pretty fast so I figured it would take longer than a minute or two like it does at home and work. Start the download, order my food, get the food, start eating, check the progress, the progress bar has barely moved. Speed check: 1 Mbps on the nose. I decided to fuck it since I had LTE and wanted to get back on the road. Sometimes it's just better to use your mobile data.
Also, fastest speed test ever was over cellular. It was over 60 Mbps and I've never seen it that high again.

Yeah well, you're not tapping into those under-the-ocean fiber optic cables that the NYSE does.
Since I assume you mean NY.

More 90 days but with the situation in Scotland dealt with and the annual "The EU is bollocks" hysteria coming to an end that Top spot will back in our hands soon.

In terms of trade and commodity exchange, maybe, but in terms of investment, security exchange, private equity and straight up monetary volume (which matter far more in terms of contribution to GDP and technology) pretty much every city in the world is an order of magnitude behind NY. And that's hard to admit, I'm from Chicago and I HATE NY.
